Ultrafiltration uses hollow-fibre membranes to remove suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and most viruses from water without heavy chemical dosing. UF is ideal as RO pretreatment, for surface-water treatment, or as a polishing stage for high-quality process water.
How it works
Feed water passes through the UF membrane module under low pressure. Clean water passes through the membrane pores while suspended matter is rejected and periodically flushed away in backwash cycles. The system is automated, compact and delivers consistently low-turbidity water.
